Abstract

The Gordon Research Seminar on Catalysis is a unique forum that enables the brightest young minds in catalysis research, including graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists and engineers with comparable levels of experience, to network and exchange cutting-edge ideas in a highly stimulating and supportive environment. The focus of this meeting will be to discuss the development of sustainable technologies that impact energy and chemical production. Topics will include, but are not limited to, catalytic innovations (both fundamental and applied), material synthesis, kinetics, characterization, theoretical approaches, and environmental applications. The meeting program will begin with a keynote lecture, followed by both oral and poster presentation sessions from young researchers to discuss important contributions to these fields. This meeting will feature a panel of thought leaders representing academia, industry and the national laboratories to discuss how young researchers can make an impact on sustainability through catalysis. GRS participants are highly encouraged to apply for the Gordon Research Conference on Catalysis that will take place immediately following the GRS.
